The children and adults of the Ann Storck Center will benefit from the more than $350,000 in proceeds from this year’s Celebrity Chefs event. Joel and Marcia Hochberg and the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino were the presenting sponsors of this year’s event, which featured the culinary talents of some of the finest restaurants in South Florida, including: 3030 Ocean, Marriot Harbor Beach; Anthony's Runway 84; Aruba Beach Café; Bamboo Noahs; Blue Martini; Bob Roth's New River Groves; Brooks Restaurant; Casa D'Angelo; Chocolate Falls; Christine's; Council Oak; Emeril's Miami Beach; Hard Rock; Cafe Hi-Life Café; In Home Gourmet; Jackson's Steakhouse; Jazziz Bistro & Live Music; Jimmies Chocolates; Lola's On Harrison; Mancini's; Prime Blue Grille; Renegade; Samba Room and The Capital Grill. A spectacular silent auction and the annual “Bids for Kids” sponsorship initiative were among the highlights of the event. The program included a video presentation showcasing the positive role the Center plays in the lives of children with developmental disabilities. This year’s featured preschool graduate, Emily B., whose notable accomplishments were captured in the video, was also in attendance to greet the evening’s guests. Emily has overcome orthopedic challenges in both arms and hands as well as an incomplete esophagus and now attends her neighborhood kindergarten. The Center was fortune to have Roz Perlmutter serve as event chair for the fourth year in a row. She was joined by Joan Ast, Pat Turner and Marge Osceola as the event co-chairs. “At a time when governmental supports for the Center’s essential programs and services are continuously diminishing, we rely more and more on the support of our community,” said Executive Director Jim McGuire. “We once again salute the many individuals, companies and restaurants who gave so generously to make our 15th year such a success.” Presenting Sponsors Joel and Marcia Hochberg Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Hollywood FL
